Making Candles With Soy Wax

Soy wax is a low melt point vegetable wax. It is a “one-pour wax”. Colours will appear muted and softer and “bloom” may surface as the candle cures. Bloom is natural, and shows the purity of the wax.

Soy burns best when wicked with HTP or Premier Cotton wicking, but hemp can also be used.

Fragrance oils should be used at 30mls per pound and essential oils at 20mls per pound.

Soy burns cool and clean, and emptied candle containers can be washed with soap and water.

Be sure to switch to the votive/pillar blend to make votives or pillar style candles.
